Garmin launches Cirqa, a screen-free AI-powered smart band

Garmin has officially entered the screenless fitness band race. On July 21, 2026, the company announced CIRQA Smart Band, its first display-free wearable built for round-the-clock health and fitness tracking. Available to order starting July 24 at $199.99, CIRQA drops the watch face entirely in favor of a quiet, sensor-packed module that leans on automatic activity detection and adaptive classification to figure out what you’re doing—without you lifting a finger.

It’s Garmin’s most direct answer yet to the growing popularity of screenless bands like WHOOP and Google’s Fitbit Air, and it arrives with a pitch that’s just as much about business model as it is about hardware.

What CIRQA Actually Is

CIRQA is a compact 27 × 47 × 9 mm sensor module worn on a soft fabric ComfortFit strap, available on the wrist or, with an optional accessory band, the upper arm.   • Wrist or upper-arm wear. The same sensor module can move between a wrist band and an optional upper-arm band via quick-release pins, a flexibility most competitors don’t offer.
  • A single physical button. Despite being screenless, CIRQA still lets you start a favorite activity, snooze an alarm, or check battery status through press-and-hold gestures paired with LED color cues.
